Academy Awards results shock the public

Abstract:
Sunday marked the 82nd Academy Awards. The ceremony opened with Neil Patrick Harris's rousing musical number. Then co-hosts Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin took the stage. Oscar host alum Martin and new-timer Baldwin were successful in bringing the laughs.

One major change in this year's show was the expansion of the Best Picture category from five shows to ten....

I agreee that there were some upsets! I used TipTop to get the most out of the entire 2010 Oscar's Celebrations from Award predictions to the Red Carpet gossip at http://ftt.nu/oscars. What I saw overall was that, using social media data to predict the Academy Award winners based upon the sentiment analysis of millions of tweets related to the Oscar nominees proved successful in a number of ways at http://digg.com/d31L8vq, but public sentiment is not always in line with the Academy's picks.
